Accountability framework

Our organisation-wide Accountability Framework guides the way we capture, report and receive feedback as well as share, learn, and make improvements to our work around the world.

Anti bribery policy

This policy sets out guidelines for CARE staff to ensure that we do not engage with or endorse bribery or corruption in any form.

Anti money laundering and terrorist financing policy

This policy sets out a process for identifying, preventing and reporting on attempted instances of money laundering.

Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct sets out the standards of conduct expected of everyone who represents CARE International UK – including employees, trustees, volunteers, consultants, secondees, and interns.

Communications involving survivors of gender-based violence: policy and guidelines

This policy provides guidelines for ensuring the welfare and safety of interviewees, including ensuring informed consent, protecting identity, and use of images and stories.

Conflict of Interest policy

This policy provides guidelines for staff and trustees on how to avoid and/or manage situations that might give rise to a conflict of interest.

COVID-19 office occupancy risk assessment

This risk assessment covers the risk areas where staff could contract or spread COVID-19 and the controls CARE International UK has put in place to protect our staff.

Data Breach policy

This policy sets out our approach to preventing and detecting Data Breaches, and our procedure for responding to breaches and notifying regulators and any impacted individuals.

Data Protection policy and procedures

This policy sets out requirements for handling personal data in accordance with data protection principles and outlines key data protection procedures within CARE International UK.

Delegated and financial authorities

This policy outlines the procedure for financial and contractual delegation of authority by trustees to the Chief Executive and the Senior Management Team, and the relevant authorisation and signature levels.

Donation acceptance policy

This policy sets out the criteria and approval process for CARE to be able to accept a donation from an individual, company, foundation or any other source to ensure that we are not compromising our mission or values.

Equal opportunities policy

This policy sets out our commitment to equal opportunities for all employees and job applicants.

Ethics statement

This statement sets out the principles that underpin decision-making and behaviour at CARE International UK. The principles are the standard to which others can hold us to account.

Fraud and corruption policy

This policy sets out the process for identifying, preventing and reporting instances of fraud or corruption.

Open information policy

This policy sets out our commitment to providing open and transparent information to ensure that we can be held to account for our work and how we do it.

Safeguarding policy: Protection from Sexual Harassment, Exploitation and Abuse and Child Abuse

CARE International's worldwide policy setting out the commitment of all members of the CARE International confederation to the protection of adults and children from sexual exploitation and abuse, involving CARE employees and related personnel.

Statement of Risk Appetites

This Statement of Risk Appetites sets out how CARE International UK feels about the different risks it faces.

Statement on modern slavery

Statement outlining our commitment to ensuring we play our part in eradicating the curse of modern slavery under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Vulnerable contacts policy

This policy outlines how, in carrying out fundraising activities, we protect vulnerable supporters, how we can identify such persons and what action we take if we suspect a person is vulnerable.

Whistle-blowing policy

This policy outlines a process that encourages and enables staff to raise concerns about misconduct within the organisation without repercussion and sets out how any concerns raised will be investigated and resolved.
