TAKE ON A NEW TYPE OF CHALLENGE IN 2020
With the world experiencing uncertain times, why not take on a new challenge? We have partnered with RunforCharity to offer you some brilliant virtual events to keep you moving at a time when it feels like everything is coming to a standstill.
With various challenges to take on there's something for everyone. Here's a selection of what you could tackle:
The Everest Challenge - Can you climb the equivalent of Mount Everest in 12 weeks? In this challenge, you can go out to the hills on your daily exercise or simply tackle the stairs a couple of times every day..... achieve 8,848m of elevation gain before the end of isolation, and this well earned medal can be yours!
Inca Trail - A world famous high altitude trail through Peru, starting at what is known as Kilometre 82 and culminating 25 miles later at Machu Pichu. For this challenge run or walk 25 miles. You can complete the distance in one or as many efforts as you choose. Don’t worry, you don’t have to do it at high altitude!
Virtual 5K, 10K and half marathons - We know many of you will want to continue running to help with your physical and mental health. For this race choose your location (while keeping socially distanced from others), and let us know how you get on. Whether that be round your local park, your garden or we've even seen people do marathons on their balcony, the location is up to you!
Virtual marathons - Always dreamed of running a marathon but wish you didn't have to do it all in one day? Well, now you can, and you can choose where you run too! Run in Sydney, Athens or Toyko, and complete your dream of running a marathon.
